Quarterly Art Series — Deborah Bell

Tributes, new work by Deborah Bell
September 16—March 15, 2009

This second in a series of exhibits organized by SAM Gallery for TASTE Restaurant will be Seattle painter Deborah Bell’s tribute to those who have inspired and buoyed her. Bell’s vibrant paintings represent her personal and lyrical version of musical notation.

TASTE Restaurant will feature a special cocktail in honor of Deborah Bell. We designed it to honor the spirit
of her vibrant paintings with this delicious cocktail.

BELL BLOSSOM COCKTAIL
MAKES 1 DRINK
1 1/4 ounces Dry Fly gin
3/4 ounce freshly squeezed orange juice
1 ounce blood orange puree
Splash of Campari
Martini Glass
Ice Cubes
Cocktail Shaker
Mix Dry Fly gin, orange juice and ice cubes in a shaker. Shake and strain
into the martini cocktail glass. Gently add the blood orange so that it
sinks to the bottom of the glass. Add Campari splash, it will also sink.
Stir the bottom of the glass three times gently.
Enjoy!

Bartender’s Note: Dry Fly is Washington’s first grain distillery since Prohibition
and features premium small batches of vodka, gin, and whiskey. Bombay gin can
be substituted if Dry Fly is unavailable. Try a neutral gin or vodka if either are
unavailable. Drink Local!
