Chef Craig Speaks at ACF

TASTE Restaurant has long promoted its dedication to serving local and sustainable produce, meats and seafood. 0554_tastebWe are proud of our farm-to-fork philosophy and the fact that we keep our dollars in the local economy. With all this focus on eating locally, however, it is important to remember to think globally as well. By sharing these ideas on a broader level, we can inspire other communities to eat and purchase locally.

That’s why we are excited to announce that our executive chef, Craig Hetherington, will be the keynote speaker at the American Culinary Federation 2009 Regional Conference in Seattle this weekend. With more than 22,000 members, the ACF is the largest professional chef organization in North America. The ACF is focusing on “going green to save green” in order to lead the charge to bring green practices to kitchens across the United States. Because TASTE has invested more than $1 million in the local economy, the ACF thought it was appropriate to invite chef Craig to speak about how the restaurant manages to purchase local, sustainable products on such a large scale.

Break a leg, Craig!
