Last Saturday our chef, Craig Hetherington, had the opportunity to visit the U-District Farmers Market for its Chef in Residence Program. He answered cooking questions from market shoppers from what to do with kohlrabi to lobster mushrooms. Craig had a fantastic time visiting with shoppers even if it was sweltering.

And, it just so happens that The Huffington Post blog has named the University District Farmers Market one of the top 10 farmers markets in the country, hailing it as the largest and oldest “farmers only” market in Seattle. Check out the piece – with photos – for yourself.
