The 3rd Masterpiece Red Blend

Clare Barboza

This past weekend TASTE’s Director  Danielle Custer and Executive Chef Craig Hetherington ventured over to Eastern Washington to embark on the blending of The 3rd Masterpiece Red. Luckily, trusted photographer Clare Barboza was on hand to capture some amazing images of the exciting process.

Back in 2007, TASTE collaborated with Townshend Cellars to create both a Masterpiece Red and Masterpiece White to celebrate the opening of the Olympic Sculpture Park. We are pleased to announce that once again, TASTE has worked closely with winery owner Don Townshend to blend the newest addition to the collection, the 3rd Masterpiece Red Blend. It will soon be bottled and available in the Restaurant in a few short weeks!

  1. […] Back in February, TASTE’s General Director Danielle Custer took a trip to Eastern Washington to embark on the blending of the 3rd Masterpiece Red. Along for the journey were TASTE’s Executive Chef Craig Hetherington and Beverage Director Kris Rezac. Once again the team worked closely with winery owner Don Townshend of Townshend Cellar to create the perfect blend, inspired by the 2007 opening of the Olympic Sculpture Park. The message remains true to the original Super Tuscan style blend and is a combination of 2005 and 2008 Sangiovese from Willow Crest and Pontine Vineyards, as well as a splash of cabernet franc.
