What TASTE is Serving Up at the OSP Farmers Market – Aug 12th

This week, TASTE’s will be featuring the following famrs at the Olympic Sculpture Park Farmers Market:  Featured Farms this week are:  Stony Plains Organic Farm – Tanino WA, Finn River Farm & Cidery– Chimicum WA and Mt. Townsend Creamery – Port Townsend WA

Head over to the TASTE Booth and enjoy

  • Stony Plains Hearty Greens  & Walla Walla Onion Panini – smeared w/ Mt Townshend Cirrus Cheese Spread, served with Finn River Organic Spelt Berry Salad (feta, olive oil, herbs + green, purple and yellow wax beans)
  • For dessert, we will have Pastry Chef Lucy’s Farm Inspired Doughnut: Brioche Filled Doughnut   l   lemon – formage blanc mousse
  • Wines for the $5 tasting this week are: Mirth Chardonnay 2009 ($13/sp btl price), Terrapin Cellars Pinot Gris 2008 ($14/sp btl price),  O ‘Reilly’s Pinot Noir 2007 – ($21/sp btl price) and TASTE’s own Masterpiece Red – “Super Tuscan” Sangiovese / Cabernet Franc ($24/sp btl price)
  • To be poured in Liquid Lounge: Tiffany’s Seasonal Cocktail – Blueberry Cobbler
  • Wine by the Glass: White – Covington Cellars “Dress White” 2008– Semillon / Sauvignon Blanc, Red – Velvet Devil Merlot
  •  Beer by the glass  – Leavenworth Whistling Pig Hefeweizen (keg)

Blueberry Cobbler Cocktail

1 ¼ ounce Absolut vodka

½  ounce fresh lime juice

½ ounce fresh lemon juice

1 ounce thyme simple syrup

10 fresh blueberries (preferably organic from your local farmer’s market)

Soda water to taste

In mixing tin, muddle blueberries and thyme simple syrup

Fill time ¾ full with ice

Add Absolut vodka, lime juice, and lemon juice

Shake well and strain over ice into Collins glass

Add soda to taste

Garnish with fresh blueberries and sprig of fresh thyme
