TASTE Hosts California Olive Oil Event

TASTE Restaurant has partnered with award-winning author, Fran Gage, of the Les Dames d’Escoffier’s San Francisco Chapter for an educational event on California olive oil.

Gage will lead a seminar on olive oil-making techniques and discuss differences in taste, indicators of quality, tips on storing, and food and olive oil pairings. Following the seminar and book signing, TASTE Restaurant will host a 4-course meal featuring dishes by Fran Gage, TASTE Director, Danielle Custer, TASTE executive chef, Craig Hetherington, and TASTE pastry chef, Lucy Damkoehler. The dinner will be paired with an olive oil cocktail created by TASTE mixologist, Duncan Chase, and wines from McCrea Cellars.

The New American Olive Oil Workshop, Book Signing, and Dinner

  • 3 – 4:30 p.m.: California olive oil seminar and tasting, $45 per person
  • 4:30 – 6 p.m.: Book Signing at TASTE Restaurant
  • 6 – 8:30 p.m.: Dinner at TASTE Restaurant, $85 per person, tax and tip inclusive
