It Runs in the Family!

The International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) celebrated 25 years of its Cookbook Awards by honoring the world’s top gastronomic talents at the 2011 Awards Gala on Thursday, June 2 at the Paramount Theatre during the 33rd IACP Annual Conference in Austin, Texas. We want to extend our warmest congratulations to Delores Custer, mother of TASTE Director Danielle Custer, who’s cookbook, “Food Styling: The Art of Preparing Food for the Camera” won the award for Food and Beverage Reference/Technical. We couldn’t be more excited for these two fantastic ladies!

Delores is an internationally known food stylist whose work has appeared in magazines, television, print advertising and feature films. Her editorial clients include: Time-Life Books. Cuisine, Redbook, Ladies Home Journal, Woman’s Day, Family Circle, Life, Chocolatier, Gourmet, Bon Appetit and Fine Cooking.  She has more than seventy print and television clients that include Budweiser, Cuisinart, The Food Network, General Mills, Kraft  Pillsbury and Nestle. Also, a special shout-out to Seattle’s own Lisa Dupar, who’s cookbook “Fried Chicken & Champagne: A Romp Through the Kitchen at Pomegranate Bistro”took home the award in the New Book category.
